This competition is for one part-time term position working 60 hours bi-weekly until March 31, 2026.
At Tourism and Culture, we are a dynamic team of professionals dedicated to the Yukon’s vibrant tourism, arts, museums, heritage, historic sites, and archival communities and their contributions to the Yukon’s quality of life.
Reporting to the Art Curator, the Visual Art Project Coordinator oversees Visual Art program projects including art competitions and commissions, purchases and license agreements, promotional and training initiatives, and manages the Government of Yukon’s public art collections. The position is responsible for implementing collection management systems and oversees public art installations, documentation, interpretation, maintenance, and restorations, including managing associated contracts.
The Visual Art Project Coordinator is also the main resource within the Department for the art commissioning and art copyright practices and contributes research, expertise, administrative and communications support to the Visual Art program.
