Executive Assistant and Boards Manager

The executive assistant provides administrative support and assistance to the president of the Yukon Liquor Corporation (YLC) and the secretary of the Yukon Lottery Commission. This position is also the department's Boards and Committee's representative, and this position manages the Yukon Liquor Corporation Board and the Cannabis Licensing Board.

The executive assistant is the primary point of contact with the ministers' office, Yukon government boards and committee's secretariat, other governments and departments, staff of the corporation, interest groups and the public on behalf of the president's office. This position is also the point of contact for the Yukon Liquor Board and the Cannabis Licensing Board.

Essential Qualifications
Please submit your resume clearly demonstrating how you meet each of the following qualifications. Please note, selection for further consideration will be based solely on the information you provide in your resume.

  • Completed coursework in office administration, business administration or a related field.
  • Experience providing administrative support to senior-level management; preferably in a government or large corporate environment.
  • Experience carrying out a full range of administrative support functions, including, but not limited to, managing schedules, documenting coordination, drafting. correspondence, financial monitoring and transactions, research and project support.
  • Experience providing secretariat support to a committee will be an asset

Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.

Job requirements: Travel within Yukon is occasionally required
