Reporting to the Manager, Communications, we're seeking a talented and creative Marketing Communications Manager to bring our stories to life through impactful visuals and communications. In this role, you'll take the lead in shaping content strategies and developing multimedia assets (video, graphics, etc.) for various internal and external communications channels. You'll also be at the heart of delivering compelling visual content for major internal campaigns, programs and other initiatives for the Executive Vice-president (EVP) and President of TELUS' global B2B teams.

What you'll do

  • Create stand-out visual content: formulate ideas and produce a variety of content for internal and external channels including graphics, infographics, animations, videos and presentations
  • Social media management for our EVP: help manage the social strategy for our EVP, writing content that aligns with key narratives and highlights and amplifies key stories (corporate news, thought leadership, industry news), creating visual content to support social posts, and contributing to our content calendar, while helping with audience analysis, and advising on tactics to follow and engage with strategic influencers, stakeholders and leaders
  • Support strategic events: help develop graphics for major programs and events including TELUS' global Sales Summit, Presidents Club, global town hall events, quarterly team calls, and more
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders: demonstrate superior client service and consultative qualities while working closely with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Leverage & utilize TELUS' tools and platforms: learn to use our corporate tools and platforms (e.g. Adobe Campaign, WorkVivo, Monday.com) to help create, post and track content on our intranet, Google spaces, and other channels
  • Creating templates & materials for our team: develop easy-to-use, visually appealing templates for presentations, emails and more that enable our senior leaders to create high-quality materials for their teams more efficiently

Qualifications

What you bring

  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in multimedia design, digital content creation, and/or social media management within a fast-paced environment, either agency or client-side
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc), Canva, Google Workspace and other multimedia platforms, while staying up to date with the latest platform changes and new tools and techniques
  • Working knowledge of AI technologies and trends, with enthusiasm for exploring and leveraging AI-driven tools to enhance marketing communications and digital content strategies
  • Expertise in recommending and delivering optimal content and formats for different communications
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • A proactive, self-starter mindset with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strategic thinking combined with a hands-on, 'no task too small' attitude, always willing to roll up your sleeves and get things done
  • Adaptable and resourceful, with a willingness to take on diverse tasks and responsibilities beyond the core job description as needed

Advanced knowledge of English is required, because you will, most of the time, interact in English with external parties (clients, suppliers, candidates, external partners, etc.), interact in English with internal parties (colleagues, internal partners, stakeholders, etc.), as part of this position's main responsibilities, given its national scope.
