NOW HIRING: HR Administrative Assistant

LOCATION: Centennial Auto Group, Summerside, PEI

HOURS: Full time, Permanent. Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

COMPENSATION: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour + benefits. (negotiable based on experience)


THE PERFECT FIT:

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the HR Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to the HR department. This is done through the coordination and execution of human resources activities, including HR policies, procedures and initiatives for the Centennial Auto Group of companies. This role requires a high level of professionalism with a focus on accuracy and detail. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a "can-do attitude" and a willingness to learn in a fun working environment.

  • Strong sense of confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
  • Knowledge of employment regulations and HR best practices is an asset.
  • Approachable, team-oriented, and committed to fostering a positive workplace culture.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and ethical judgment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Previous experience in an HR environment is an asset but not required—training will be provided for the right candidate.


JOB TASKS:

  • Provide daily administrative support to the HR Manager and HR department.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure data integrity in the HRIS system.
  • Assist with recruitment-related tasks as needed.
  • Assist in the onboarding and offboarding process for new hires, terminations, transfers, and promotions.
  • Maintain and stock first aid kits and supplies across all company locations.
  • Help prepare reports, presentations, and other HR-related documentation.
  • Support the implementation of HR policies and practices.
  • Assist in company HR-related events (i.e., staff appreciation, banquets, etc)
  • Assist with the administration of employee benefit programs.
  • Travel to other company locations when necessary for work assignments.
