Why is this role important:
The Social Media and Content Specialist will support and execute editorial and social media strategy, working closely with the Manager, Social Media and Senior Manager, Content Strategy. All of this occurs while working collaboratively with all relevant stakeholders including executives, stores, brand, PR, Digital Marketing, vendors and the Merchant team. The Social Media and Content Specialist keeps up to date with the marketplace, looking for emerging trends that help ensure Holts positions itself as a leader in the editorial content and social media space, generating brand awareness, store traffic and online sales.
What you'll do:
Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:
In conjunction with the Manager, Social Media and Senior Manager, Content Strategy, coordinates and supports multi-cross functional organic and partner content strategy to increase engagement, relevancy and follower growth on Holts' owned and partner channels
Support Senior Manager, Content Strategy on research, planning and execution of seasonal editorial content and cultural partnerships
Oversee and partner to manage execution, scheduling and reporting for all organic Social Media and Editorial & Partner content
Community management for organic and paid social content, including posting content beyond traditional work hours
Directs customer queries on social media by responding to and directing customer inquiries within 24 hours
Support Manager, Content Strategy - Social Media on creating social content from ideation through to execution, editing, approvals, and upload. Ideal candidate is confident on camera and is adept with editing software (i.e. Capcut, platform editing softwares)
Specialist, Social Media and Content Strategy will be occasionally required to attend business events/functions to capture content
Work alongside the other Specialist, Social Media to manage asset approval, comment moderation, scheduling, and reporting for all paid and organic content utilizing third-party platform Dash Hudson
Support in the management of and development the organic social media and editorial content calendars that aligns with marketing campaign themes and goals
Utilize social media best practices to drive engagement and acquisition strategies across all platforms including Instagram,TikTok, and Meta
Keeps up-to-date on the fashion cultural space, with an eye for emerging trends and talent (content creators and influencers), future innovation and best practices, as well as a strong understanding of ever-changing audiences, cultures and subcultures
Owns weekly reporting process for editorial and social content, driving key insights and results to impact future strategy
Assist with invoice processing and tracking to help manage team budget
What you bring:
Post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
Demonstrated leadership and influencing skills with the ability to get things done. This person will be comfortable taking initiative and has an entrepreneurial spirit.
Excellent interpersonal skills; a team player who is able to act as both a leader and an individual contributor as required
Confident and effective communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills
Excellent time management, organization, and prioritization skills
Passionate about fashion and luxury retailing
Comfortable on camera and capturing video content
Proficient with social video editing software (i.e. Capcut, TikTok/Instagram editing)
Experience with third-party social scheduling/listening platforms is a bonus (i.e. Dash Hudson, Sprout Social, Later)
