What you'll do
This role will be accountable for overseeing the creation of product content across CTC companies (Canadian Tire and Party City) for our website product pages and other marketing channels. They will be responsible for determining a consistent and efficient process for product onboarding, content moderation and optimization. They will also look after the weekly planning, delegation and execution of onboarding operation activities. The Product Content Consultant will liaise between Product Content Specialists, and Category Business Analysts to ensure the timely delivery of new products online.
Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities related to product onboarding, content moderation and optimization, ensuring that these are being prioritized, scheduled and produced in a timely manner.
Help prioritize optimization work based on upcoming deadlines and facilitate the lines of communication between internal partners to ensure on time delivery.
Enforce best-practices and standards for product content by business and brand
Establish and maintain reporting for product onboarding, content scorecards and issue logs
Work with cross functional teams to provide issue details, obtain statuses and close off tickets
Log challenges and efficiencies around day-to-day process for product onboarding
Maintain trackers for product onboarding and quality control checks
Help establish common SEO best-practices for product copy as part of product onboarding
Assist with content moderation and copywriting activities as requested
Work with the Associate Manager and Manager to establish an efficient / sustainable process model for content creation.
Provide regular updates/reporting to stakeholders based on the established deadlines, flagging any delays in schedule.
Guide Specialist through change management to support them through workflow transformations.
Proactively collaborate with the teams to resolve anticipated hurdles and continuously apply learnings to optimize processes
Continuously challenge the status-quo in the way we do things and find ways to be more efficient as a team and organization
Identify opportunities and implement 'always-on' product content opportunities across Canadian Tire or for select banners or brands.
What you bring
Post-secondary education in business/commerce, marketing, communications or a related field is required.
SEO experience is a must.
Excellent communication and writing skills
Ability to write, edit and organize content for new product additions to the website optimizing for search and customer purchasing decisions
Experience with Product Information Management (PIM) solutions (e.g. Stibo STEP and Hybris PCM) is an asset.
Experience working with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, with proven ability to respond flexibly to changing priorities.
Motivated, self-starter with the ability to function in an environment with a high level of ambiguity and change
Ability to build and maintain relationships, influence change without authority, collaborate and persuade cross-functionally.
Highly organized and exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Experience managing content standards
Strong organization skills are a must
Strong problem solver and decision maker
Strong knowledge of Excel
Retail experience an asset
Bilingual candidates are an asset (English and French).
