Role Overview
Home to over 110 one-of-a-kind and luxury merchants, Bayview Village (BV) is one of Canada's most prestigious shopping center's. "Geographically blessed" (with close proximity to many of the most affluent neighborhoods in the Greater Toronto Area), the Centre caters to discerning foodies/fashionistas/décoristas seeking unique merchandise in an inviting, upscale environment. Not your ordinary shopping venue, BV is carefully curated in order to offer a true 360º glam lifestyle experience. Where else can you drop off your dry cleaning, get fitted for a dress for next month's fundraising gala, have lunch (over a glass or two of chardonnay), get a blow-out, luxuriate in a mani-pedi, pick up duck breast for tonight's dinner and . . . grab a bottle of Veuve for Friday night's dinner party . . . all in one stop? In short, BV is a convenient (and haute) one stop, which allows its well-heeled customers to regularly check things off their "to do" lists in the glamest way possible.
Reporting directly to the Marketing Manager this position is responsible for assisting in the overall planning and execution of marketing activities designed specifically for Bayview Village. This is an onsite role at the based out of the Bayview Village
As a Marketing Coordinator at Bayview Village, you will
Assist the Marketing Manager in the execution of day-to-day marketing efforts of Bayview Village.
Assist in managing the annual marketing budget including coding and processing payables, processing expenses, understanding and analyzing variances, etc.
Plan and execute various special events including developing event concepts and timelines, securing sponsors, hiring vendors, completing requisite insurance-related paperwork, preparing event post-mortems, etc.
Write, edit, proofread and coordinate the production of marketing materials, signage, etc.
Assist in managing social media agency and create content on an as-needed basis.
Assist stylists and media representatives with the collection and sign-out of merchandise for use in marketing collateral, including TV segments and social media content, ensuring the return of merchandise to the retailers in a timely fashion.
Manage BV’s digital footprint, including but not limited to social listening and response, ongoing tracking and reporting; as well as the property website and digital marketing initiatives.
Foster positive partner, tenant, community and philanthropic relationships.
Work hand-in-glove with other management staff and employees.
Participate in regular marketing meetings, staff meetings, one-on-one retailer meetings, agency briefings, etc.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Qualifications
3 to 5 years’ related experience in marketing/communications, social media, and/or event coordination.
Superior oral and written communication skills (specifically, editing and copywriting).
Out-of-the-box thinker with proven creative and innovative approach to doing things.
Possess an entrepreneurial spirit and a positive, “can do” attitude.
Ability to work under pressure as well as, work independently.
Proven social media experience preferred.
Event planning and execution experience an asset.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Advanced MS Office Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
This is a full time, onsite position out of Bayview Village Shopping Centre. Note that due to the nature of special events, some evening and weekend work is also required.
