Join the Ministry of Health, dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of Ontarians through comprehensive programs and services. As part of the Indigenous Health Policy Unit, you will collaborate with First Nations, Inuit, Métis, and urban Indigenous partners to improve health outcomes and foster productive relationships. What can I expect to do in this role?

In this role you will:
• Handle and log incoming/outgoing mail.
• Maintain filing systems, order supplies, and operate office equipment.
• Prepare documents, reports, and presentations.
• Arrange meetings and travel accommodations.
• Process invoices, purchases, and expense claims.

How do I qualify?

Mandatory:

• Typing of 40 words per minute

Organizational Skills

• You are a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with a strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• You are proficient in maintaining accurate records electronically and physically, adhering to established filing systems.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills

• You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact professionally with a variety of stakeholders, including clients and colleagues.
• You can respond to inquiries from clients and colleagues, providing clear and informative responses via phone, email, or in person
•You are committed to providing exceptional customer service to both internal and external clients.
•You possess tact, diplomacy, and interpersonal skills to ensure good working relationships.

Analytical Skills and Problem-Solving Skills

•You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills to review information, identify errors, research solutions, and ensure accurate data entry.
•You can also determine the urgency of matters, identify, and resolve discrepancies, and take the best course of action.

Computer Skills

•You are proficient in using various computer programs for data entry, retrieval, generating reports, and processing financial transactions

Financial Numeracy

• You can calculate employee attendance.
• You can reconcile and balance petty cash expenditures.
• You can check and verify calculations on expense claims and
invoices.
