What would my role be?

Reporting to the Clinical Manager, you will act as a resource person and assume responsibility for the day-to-day duties in providing secretarial and administrative support to the Clinical Managers.

How do I qualify?

Required:

  • One (1) year Community College Diploma in office administration or other relevant field or equivalent combination of experience, education and training.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in supporting management positions with secretarial and administrative functions.

Preferred:

  • Experience in a health care environment.
  • Able to use MEDITECH
  • Fluent in French and English (Candidates who do not meet this language requirement are eligible to apply for this position and may be considered if there are no other suitable applicants who meet this requirement).

What skills should I possess to succeed in the role?

  • Able to use a computer, a fax, Microsoft office applications.
  • Interpersonal communication skills; telephone skills, teamwork.
  • Good client centered service.
  • Able to work within an interdisciplinary team.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision and deal with stress-related to multiple tasks, frequent interruptions, distraught families and staff.
  • Able to work autonomously and with initiative.
  • Able to adapt to a changing work environment, and to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Attentive to details.
  • Able to follow and execute instructions given.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
