MHICA's technicians build and join wing assemblies and fuselage sections, as well as perform systems and flight control assembly installations and testing. Scope of Position Reporting to the Supervisor - Facilities & Maintenance, the Material Handler will be responsible for transporting / moving large components and finished products to designated locations employing cranes, forklifts, or any other recommended means. Operate winches / cranes / forklifts and other loading devices to load and unload materials onto and off trucks and loading docks of warehouse industrial plant areas. Wrap large components, with lightweight tarp and be able to use "Propane torches" as required. Perform other material handling activities such as counting, weighing, sorting, packing, and unpacking. Operate industrial trucks, tractors, loaders, and other equipment to transport materials to and from transportation vehicles and to store and retrieve materials in warehouses as required. May perform other activities, such as opening containers and crates, filling orders, assisting in taking inventory and weighing and checking materials. Document's product shipment by recording units shipped. Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections and making operator repairs. Keeps inventory, loading areas, and machinery clean. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at a time. Must wear appropriate safety gear (PPE), such as goggles and gloves, when handling box cutters or similar tools. Skills and Qualifications Organizational skills. Ability to read and analyze Information. Adept at handling multiple complex tasks simultaneously. Proficiency with prioritizing and meeting multiple deadlines. Excellent time management. Process improvement mindset. Knowledge of inventory control. Ability to lift heavy materials. Data entry skills. Experience 2 years of related experience required. Previous stock or inventory experience a plus. Previous experience operating a forklift or pallet jack a plus. Education Completion of secondary school is required.
