Hunter Dental offers a wide range of procedures that include the following: Invisalign, TMD program, TMJ treatment, periodontics, oral surgery, and dental sedation.

Our practice is conveniently located in a beautiful heritage building at 34 Main St N in Downtown Markham.

Schedule: Full-Time

  • Mondays - 8:30 am to 5:30 pm
  • Tuesdays - 10:30 am to 7:30 pm
  • Wednesdays - 8:30 am to 5:30 pm
  • Thursdays - 8:30 am to 5:30 pm
  • Fridays - 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
  • Saturdays - One (1) per month - 7:30 am to 1:30 pm. (Friday will be off on the week that the Saturday is required)

We are looking for a Senior Administrative Assistant to join our busy and well-established practice! The successful candidate will have a passion for building strong patient relationships and contributing to the ongoing oral health of their community.

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule patients to ensure all providers have productive schedules
  • Promote new hygiene business in perio-surgery, Invisalign, and TMD programs
  • Treatment scheduling of maximally productive hygiene appointments
  • Utilize excellent phone skills to fill short notice cancellations and be proactive to manage hygiene patient demand
  • Maintain an active list of temp hygienists to utilize if/when needed
  • Use hygiene knowledge to lead conversations which support patient optimal oral health
  • Encourage patient acceptance of the dental treatment plans by answering questions and creating value for the proposed treatment
  • Present treatment options, review payment plans, answer questions and overcome objections to motivate patients to case acceptance
  • Build strong relationships with patients to ensure trust and loyalty
  • Assist with accounts receivables and complete daily deposit reconciliations
  • Complete insurance submissions and pre-determinations

About You:

  • 4+ years of administration experience required
  • 3+ years of experience with accounts receivables and insurance submissions in a dental office is required
  • A warm and friendly person who appreciates the value of optimal oral health for life and is able to share oral health education with our patients
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Have the ability to quickly maneuver numerous tasks efficiently and proficiently
  • A proactive individual who maintains control over schedules
  • Enjoys working with production goals
  • Knowledge and understanding of oral treatment plans and ability to educate patients
  • Strong customer service experience; kind and professional
  • Detail oriented
  • Experience with Tracker and Recall Max highly preferred
