What can I expect to do in this role? 

In this role, you will: 
 
• provide day to day direction, leadership, expert guidance, technical advice and support to the Client Services Representative and Court Support staff for all business lines (Family, Criminal, Enforcement, Civil, Small Claims Court, Estates) 
• provide on-the-job training and senior level problem solving expertise when supporting CSR's with difficult and emergent client service issues 
• identify and resolve operational and logistical problems, refer complex matters and provide input to the Supervisor 
• compile and consolidate various statistical data and performance reports of all activities including various operational problem 
• participate on or lead special projects to identify issues and trends in policies and legislation and recommend changes to existing rules and procedures 

How do I qualify? 

Mandatory 

  • You have a valid driver's licence within the Province of Ontario 

Technical Knowledge 

You have demonstrated: 
• knowledge of court operations, rules and procedures 
• knowledge of court and legal terminology to implement directives, policies, protocols and local practices 
• knowledge and ability to interpret relevant legislation, such as the Criminal Code, Youth Criminal Justice Act, Family Law Act, and the Rules of Civil Procedures 
• mathematical skills to perform end of day balancing to consolidate various statistical data 

Group Leadership Skills: 

  • You have group leadership skills to coordinate, oversee and prioritize the activities of office administrative staff and work assignments
  • You can monitor performance, provide on the job training, resolve work related issues and provide technical advice and guidance 

Communication Skills: 

  • You have demonstrated oral communication, interpersonal and customer service skills to provide effective customer service and respond to phone and in person inquiries
  • You can liaise, communicate, and provide information and procedural guidance to a wide range of stakeholders (example: Members of the bar, public, judiciary)
  • You can work in a team environment 
  • You can prepare correspondence, reports and formulate responses to media inquiries 
  • You can prepare training materials for new and existing programs 

Analytical and Problem Solving Skills: 

  • You have analytical and problem solving skills to refer complex matters and provide input to management
  •  You can formulate correspondence to a wide range of inquiries and complaints regarding court orders/judgments and related policies and procedures
  • You can ensure accuracy of work 

Organizational Skills 

You can: 
• plan, coordinate and prioritize work 
• modify schedules and planned work activities 
• work independently with minimal supervision in an high pressure environment with conflicting and tight deadlines 

Computer Skills 

You have: 
• computer word processing and database skills to prepare correspondence and spreadsheets 
• the ability to use computer systems such as ICON, FRANK, ESTATES, and WRITS to amend, update, create and override records
