Clerk – Dispatch
Job Summary
The Clerk – Dispatch is responsible for providing administrative support to the Dispatch Department.
Responsibility
· Receive customs paperwork through electronic communication from driver, customer or in office and ensure documents are in order.
· Submit necessary information to Customs and Broker in a timely and accurate manner.
· Advise drivers via two-way radio and satellite messaging when they are clear to cross the border.
· Troubleshoot issues and seek resolution to avoid delays.
· Collect, sort, and distribute all returning driver trip envelopes.
· Ensure all outbound driver trip envelopes are complete with necessary documentation.
Academic/Educational Requirements
Completion of Secondary School Diploma
Required Skills/Experience
· Experience in the transportation industry as asset.
· Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
· Attention to detail.
· Strong communication skills.
