The Toronto South Detention Centre is seeking a confident, forward-thinking leaders to join the senior leadership team, and manage the overall administration and operations of the institution. We are currently hiring for 1 Deputy Superintendent of Administration (staff relations) on a 12-month contract with a possibility to extend.
As the Deputy Superintendent of Administration (Staff Relations), you will deputize as the senior administrative subordinate to the Superintendent, with commensurate responsibility and accountability for ensuring the effective and efficient operation of a correctional institution. You will supervise functions including staff services, the oversight of Operational Managers, offender institutional and local community programs, and institutional support service operations. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to showcase your expertise in human resources management as you lead the human resources functions for the institution.
Please note:
Deputy Superintendents are expected to participate in a rotational “on call” schedule to manage emergency medical crises and other emergency situations that occur after regular administrative business hours.
