We seek a Program Coordinator, to support the Program/Project Management team within the PMO of Sensor Technology Ltd. The role will cover all aspects of the business with the intention of transitioning into a Program Management role with the support of the PMO Director to help collaborate and develop the skills needed to become a successful Program Manager.

Job title: Program Coordinator role

 

Job duties:

 

  • Assist in the planning and execution of multiple related projects within a program.
  • Coordinate program activities, ensuring they are completed on time and within scope.
  • Maintain comprehensive program documentation and track the progress of individual projects.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.
  • Prepare and distribute detailed program status reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Support the development of program plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Identify and manage program-level risks and issues, escalating them to the Program Manager as needed.
  • Facilitate the integration and synchronization of various project activities within the program.
  • Assist in budget tracking and resource allocation to ensure program financial objectives are met.
  • Support in conducting/Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
  • Mentor and support team members and others, providing guidance and sharing best practices.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of program management processes and methodologies.
  • All other duties as assigned.

 

Skills requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Teams and MS Project
  • Flexibility to travel periodically between Ontario and Nova Scotia to support current and prospective projects
  • At least 2 years project management experience, with preference for candidates with experience within a technical environment
  • A reasonable understanding of project management principles, tools, and techniques
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Team oriented, with a focus on fostering collaboration and driving results
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels internally and externally
  • Knowledge of project management software (e.g., Wrike, Asana, JIRA, Monday.com)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Teams and MS Project
  • A hunger for knowledge and the drive to take on challenges in an ever-evolving work environment
  • Confidence in themselves to ask for help and to vocalize their thoughts and questions

Terms of employment: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: $98,000 per annum
