What is the opportunity?

In this role, you will support the two Regional Vice Presidents in Atlantic Canada and Ontario North East as well as assisting the Private Banking Associate team as required. You will be responsible for optimal trust, discretion, timely achievement in leading and coordination of the day-to-day management, administrative, communication and operational functions supporting the RVP's and the running of the overall business. You will act as first point of contact for prioritization, co-ordination and control of activities to create capacity for the RVP's to facilitate and maintain focus on implementation of the Private Banking Growth strategies, achievement of business plan, coaching and enablement while enhancing the highest level of client experience. You will utilize technology and investigate best practices for prioritization, organization to support the leader in the most efficient and effective way, ensuring that the leader has access to the tools to make them efficient. As part of the Private Banking Associate team, you will understand and deliver a tailored client experience to all Private Banking clients for incoming servicing requests in person, via email, and over the phone.

What will you do?

  • Accountable for administrative and leadership management routines, including implementing and maintaining processes in line with RBC's policies and guidelines, using digital and technology as much as possible:

  • Manage RVP's e-mail/mail/phone calls proactively responding to correspondence/requests & prioritizing for RVP's to read.

  • Manage RVP's calendar sending one off/recurring meeting bookings, accepting meeting bookings and proactively reviewing with RVP's to ensure preparedness for upcoming week(s) including booking travel/accommodations when relevant.

  • Proactively identify and provide required information/documents for him/her to complete duties.

  • Manage office routines and leadership expenses ensuring efficiency, accuracy and within policy.

  • Leverage technology, software tools and expertise in preparation of documentation and presentations.

  • Maintains expense claims, Visa Card claims, and statements for the senior leadership team.

  • Co-ordinates payment of invoices/expenses for applicable transits.

What do you need to succeed?
Must-have

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

  • Event planning experience

  • High level of discretion

  • Meticulous attention to detail with excellent time management and organizational skills

  • Enthusiastic, committed, and entrepreneurial spirit with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with different levels of management, team members, and partners across the organization

  • Courteous and professional attitude at all times, creating a superior client experience and positive and collaborative working environment for colleagues

Nice-to-have

  • 3 or more years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably within financial services industry

  • Business acumen
