About the team.

The onboarding team is part of our Employee Experience Centre. This team plays a crucial role in integrating new employees into the organization. They ensure a smooth transition by coordinating orientation sessions, managing necessary paperwork, and providing essential training.

This team also acts as a point of contact for new hires, addressing any questions or concerns they may have. Additionally, they collaborate with various departments to ensure that new employees have the resources and support they need to succeed.

The EEC Operations & Content Specialist will be an ambassador of the Employee Experience Centre through the promotion of consistent communications, content, and continuous improvement in the ways we work and deliver services to our employees. This role will help ensure we are living the HR model through focusing on adoption and service delivery.

This role will create and implement innovative training programs that empower different teams by evaluating training needs, collaborating with stakeholders, and developing engaging instructional materials. This will be a fixed-term contract role, through the end of McCain’s fiscal year (July 1st, 2025). (Roughly 6 Months)

Accountabilities.

  • Assist in creating, updating, and delivering the Employee Experience Center training framework and associated content. Identify opportunities for improvement and integrate them into the framework.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to design and develop instructional content on business and functional topics, including ways of working, technology, and processes.
  • Develop and maintain content management frameworks and repositories to support the Onboarding knowledge management strategy.
  • Design and implement branding concepts and learning engagement campaigns.
  • Gather and analyze quantitative and qualitative data on business experience, service delivery, and training framework adoption. Prepare and deliver comprehensive status updates, including KPIs and metrics, to key stakeholders.
  • Consult on and create communication and change materials for the Employee Experience Center.
  • Simplify and organize content on the Employee Experience portal to enhance accessibility for employees.
  • Update and consult on Employee Experience content as needed, both operationally and for projects.
  • Represent the Employee Experience Centre on HR Projects as required.
  • Support system improvements, including implementation, testing, communication, and content support.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary degree in related field
  • Two (2) + years of experience in a training content creation role.

Skills:

  • Deep knowledge of Learning Content creation methodologies and tools required including Adobe Captivate, Articulate storyline
    • Experience with content creation in LMS systems (SuccessFactors LMS preferred)
  • Strong project management, planning, communication and organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of HR Learning Management systems is beneficial

Compensation Package: $45,000-55,000 CAD

The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education/training, and other organizational needs.
