You'll Do:

  • Process accurate and timely payroll
  • Maintain payroll & benefits information, documents & forms
  • Calculate & prepare payroll remittance & reconciliations
  • Respond to payroll & benefit related inquiries
  • Manage WCB and short & long-term disability claims
  • Prepare various reports upon request for supervisors and management
  • Prepare ROE's & information for T4's
  • Maintain confidential personnel files
  • Ensuring compliance with West Fraser policies and Canadian payroll regulations
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies

You have:

  • 3-5 years of previous payroll or administration experience
  • Canadian Payroll Association designation
  • Or post-secondary education in payroll administration and general accounting knowledge is preferred
  • Accurate data entry skills and superior attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple projects, priorities, requests and meet strict deadlines
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite (with an emphasis on Excel) and the ability to adapt to new software systems
  • Effective organization and communication skills
  • Experience &/or training in Human Resources would be an asset

Compensation Package:

  • The salary for this position may vary depending on experience, education, and location.
  • The yearly salary range is between 61800 to 71500 per year.
  • Outstanding benefits package including medical, dental, pension, life insurance, disability, accident insurance, vacation, and holidays.
