We currently have a full-time position available for an IT Coordinator to join our well-established team. WHO YOU ARE

  • Experience: At least three years in an IT Coordinator or similar role involving help desk support.
  • Education: You have a Computer Science or Information Technology diploma or degree from a recognized post-secondary institution, or other substantial training in information technology including recognized accreditations
  • Skills: You must have excellent technical and computer skills and are highly proficient with Adobe, Zoom, and Microsoft® Office applications. You have experience with Document Management systems and MS Windows Server environment including Active Directory. You have effective communication, organizational and interpersonal skills, and you have the ability to handle a high volume of work with tight deadlines and a keen attention to detail. You are able to use sound judgement to make decisions and can successfully manage multiple changing priorities.
  • Characteristics: You should be self-motivated, highly analytical, and thrive on solving problems both independently and with the team. You are a proactive self-starter who has a positive and energetic attitude. You understand the importance of exercising discretion and confidentiality, and can adapt to ever changing responsibilities. You place a strong emphasis on customer service and take a proactive approach to problem solving. WHAT YOU WILL DO

The successful candidate will assume a position of significant responsibility, including:

  • Implementing protocols for the use of technology within departments and across the firm
  • Providing advice and recommendations on software and technology choices
  • Providing technical help desk support and/or training for systems and networks
  • Administering the set up of profiles for new hires, terminations, leaves, etc.
  • Acting as a liaison between end users and external support providers
  • Sourcing, installing and configuring software and hardware
  • Monitoring system and network performance and providing suggestions for improvement
  • Performing troubleshooting, repairs and data restoration
  • Performing maintenance activities
  • Providing software support for legal software including Worldox, E-convey, ALF, Hot Docs, ESILaw 360, and other systems as required
  • Maintaining licenses and upgrade schedules
  • Coordinating zoom and Microsoft Teams AV setups for all members of the firm.
  • Collaborating with outside suppliers and vendors to maintain standards and functionality
  • Assisting as needed with maintenance of the firm's website and intranet
  • Participating as a member of the firm's legal technology committee
  • Performing other related duties as required, including providing coverage support for the other team members as required during absences, and providing general administrative support as requested.
