Description

This position works for the food bank. You must be able to provide support to Officer. Have organizational skills. Clerical duties answering phones, keyboarding, entering statistics in various on line platforms.

Hours:

  • 15-20 hours per week.
  • October 31, 2024 to Jan 2 2025.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drafts and types correspondence related to the nature of the Ministry Unit.
  • Work with Officer
  • Performs general office duties Calls Clients , and Matches Clients to sponsors. Answers enquiries greets clients, files documents electronically or manually.
  • Photocopies and distributes materials as receives faxes or emails. Resolves routine enquiries.
  • Builds and maintains data bases for Link 2 Feed, SAMIS
  • Prepares and receives all paper work for main project and events related to Christmas Adopt a familyand food drives, and Christmas Hamper distribution.
  • Other duties as required
  • Ensure Safe work practices when using all equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Certifications:

  • Grade 12 Education
  • Specialized courses of up to six months, or equivalent experience

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of related experience, including Administrative, and experience dealing with office equipment and tools.

Required Skills/Knowledge:

  • Related Courses an asset
  • Prior successful experience will be considered

PREFERRED SKILLS/CAPABILITIES:

  • Good Organizational skills.
  • Multitasker.
  • Good knowledge of Computer Word Excel, and office programs.

Physical Effort:

  • The job requires a moderate amount of sitting, walking, and keyboarding.
  • You would occasionally be required to stand, bend, and lift up to 10 pounds.
