Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Primavera Scheduler with a background in industrial insulation projects to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and managing project schedules using Primavera P6, ensuring that all insulation activities are planned, executed, and completed on time. This role requires in-depth knowledge of insulation processes, construction methods, and experience in coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to meet project objectives. Primary Duties:
Key Responsibilities
Schedule Development: Create, maintain, and update detailed project schedules for insulation activities using Primavera P6. Include tasks such as material procurement, installation, quality checks, and inspections.
Progress Tracking: Monitor project progress against the schedule, track key milestones, and provide updates to the project team, highlighting any deviations or delays.
Resource Allocation: Work closely with project managers, insulation teams, and subcontractors to allocate resources effectively and ensure that labor, equipment, and materials are available as needed.
Coordination: Collaborate with insulation workface planners, construction managers, and other stakeholders to integrate insulation activities within the overall project plan and ensure alignment with other trades.
Cost and Time Analysis: Conduct cost and time impact analyses to evaluate the effects of potential changes to the schedule, such as weather delays, material shortages, or scope modifications.
Risk Management: Identify potential scheduling risks related to insulation activities and propose mitigation strategies to minimize impacts on project timelines.
Reporting: Generate and present schedule reports, look-ahead schedules, and earned value analyses to project teams, clients, and management.
Compliance: Ensure that insulation activities adhere to industry standards, project specifications, safety regulations, and quality requirements.
Continuous Improvement: Recommend improvements in scheduling practices, tools, and processes to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of project scheduling.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in project scheduling, specifically involving insulation projects in the construction, oil & gas, or industrial sectors.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Primavera P6 scheduling software.
Strong understanding of insulation processes, materials, and best practices.
Knowledge of other scheduling tools (Microsoft Project) is a plus.
Analytical Skills: Ability to conduct schedule risk analysis and evaluate potential impacts on project timelines.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex scheduling information to various stakeholders.
Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to address scheduling conflicts, resource constraints, and potential delays.
Certifications: PMI-SP (Project Scheduling Professional) or PSP (Planning & Scheduling Professional) certification is an asset.
Wage Rate - $62.40/hour blended rate
