Designed to celebrate aviation history, promote aviation excellence, and advance participation in aerospace by way of education, advocacy, and other community-based activities, it operates on a not-for-profit basis. JOB OVERVIEW

Do you provide great customer service and have experience working in retail, or the food and beverage industry? Bring these skills and come work for us as a Guest Services Representative!

The Guest Services Representative is the first point of contact to both our internal and external customers. They will be responsible to provide a high level of Customer Service to our visitors, staff and the public.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides a warm welcome to the visitors entering the Centre for Excellence
  • Provides visitors an inclusive experience that is up to the CFE standards.
  • Explains the purpose of the Centre and outline the different exhibits to the visitors
  • Provides guidance to the visitors as they walk through the exhibits
  • Answers questions, make recommendations as to how the visitors can best experience the whole exhibit
  • Processes credit card payments and maintains the cash float
  • Responsible for stocking and maintaining our merchandise display, providing sales support and keeping records of inventory data
  • Assists with the organization of company events
  • Answers and redirect inquiries around event space booking inquiries

HOURS OF WORK

This position will typically be reporting 3 days/week or 24 hours per week. Working from 9am to 5pm, Thursday to Saturday with flexibility required for events and additional coverage. Potential for additional hours during peak summer season.

This is a new and evolving role, other tasks and duties may be assigned by the Executive Director.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Completion of High School
  • Prior customer service experience
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to maintain positive customer service
  • Knowledge of MS Office, Point of Sale (POS) systems or DOS programs an asset
  • Ability to work and communicate well with a team
  • May need to cover in the other roles as required
  • Pre knowledge of Aviation is not required, however interest in Aviation is a plus.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including weekend shift work

Benefits will be pro-rated for the part-time nature of this position


SALARY

The wage band is CFE Salary Band 3, $18.75 to $23.28 per hour. The expertise and technical skill level of the candidate is assessed during the selection process for placement within the band.
