The Corporate Wildfire Services team at the Southeast Fire Centre plays a vital role in ensuring smooth financial and administrative operations across the region. From overseeing the processing of invoices to handling HR support for approximately 325 auxiliary and 75 full-time regular staff, this collaborative team works behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly. With a mix of experienced professionals and newer members, they excel in teamwork, problem-solving, and delivering timely, accurate results. Their work impacts everyone, from vendors to staff, ensuring payments are made, contracts are managed, and HR processes are seamless, creating a positive ripple effect across the fire centre.
The Wildfire Corporate Services Administrator is an essential link that keeps the unit running smoothly, adapting to the dynamic needs of each season, including onboarding and training in the spring, ensuring timely payroll and vendor payments in the summer, managing offboarding and hiring in the fall, and preparing for the next season in the winter.
