West Fraser offers a range of exciting career opportunities for individuals seeking challenging and rewarding careers. Our North Central Woodlands division, located near Slave Lake and High Prairie, has an opportunity for a Wood Administrator.

The North Central Woodlands team is responsible for leading safe, cost-effective, and environmentally sound forestry operations for West Fraser in the Slave Lake and High Prairie regions of Alberta. The team supplies the fiber required for a veneer plant and a lumber mill.

The successful candidate will report to the Operations Superintendent and must have strong interpersonal and communication skills and the capacity to lead. The ideal candidate would preferably start in October.

You'll Do:

  • Data collection and registration of log trucks and drivers
  • Verifying daily load deliveries
  • Data entries for log haul
  • Assigning and creating log truck placards
  • Oversee the truck and driver management system

You Have:

  • High School diploma, post-secondary diploma is an asset
  • A self-starter & self-motivator
  • Strong technical, problem-solving, and trouble-shooting skills
  • Knowledge of/Experience with Windows 7 and later
  • Knowledge of/Experience with Microsoft Office software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Be highly motivated with proven organization and prioritization skills
  • Enjoy a fast-paced environment with time sensitive tasks

Compensation Package:

  • The salary range for this position may vary depending on experience, education, and location.
