The School of Manufacturing and Automation and the School of Transportation is looking for an energetic, positive, and detail-oriented individual to join the team supporting the Dean's Office within these two schools. This position will provide high level executive, administrative and analytical support to the Office of the Dean to achieve goals as outlined in NAIT's and the Schools' strategic plans in alignment with NAIT's Vision, Promises and Values. As a partner in supporting the school's plans and strategies, the scope of your work includes working proactively on assigned projects, coordinating events, researching and maintaining important external contacts, arranging schedules, making travel arrangements, and coordinating information flow to assure effective communications, both within NAIT and externally. This is a hybrid role requiring 3-4 days per week on campus.
Due to the nature of this area, the work is very dynamic and requires an administrative professional who thrives in an environment where priorities and activities frequently change. Strong communication skills are necessary and experience working in a MS Teams environment is a strong asset. Key Responsibilities:
Manages external relation priorities, supports relationship management, and coordinates with Advancement on key contacts.
Interfaces with both internal and external stakeholders on a regular basis, often independently, to support School Administrative Leadership Team success.
Develops and briefs the Dean's Office on events and meetings; coordinates and organizes their commitments by ensuring calendars are reviewed in advance and then proactively coordinates the development of information to meet the requirements of meetings; prepares agendas, itineraries, meeting notices and related materials using own judgment and initiative; ensures deadlines are met and agenda items brought forward.
Performs executive-level administrative functions in support of the Dean's Office; assures that all purchasing and travel expenses are processed and reconciled.
Develops key reports & communications on behalf of the Dean's Office; tracks, coordinates and develops key reports including Provost reports, Board of Governors' report, external stakeholder reports, accreditation reports, school communications, etc.
Assist in the coordination school wide professional development, engagement, and recognition events.

Qualifications:
Related post-secondary certificate or diploma.
5 years progressively responsible administrative level experience.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Applicants with education credentials earned outside of Canada should have their credentials evaluated by World Education Services or the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS).
Remuneration: $52,303.42 - $68,325.92 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package. (Classification - Admin Support VI).
This position is covered by the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE) Collective Agreement.
