About the Role
Reporting to the Development Manager, the Development Coordinator will play a crucial role in providing coordination and administrative support to project lifecycles of Gracorp's Alberta Region's multi-family and mixed-use development projects. The incumbent will be a detail-oriented and proactive individual who can effectively manage multiple administrative responsibilities while working closely with project managers, architects, contractors, and municipal officials.
As a Development Coordinator at Gracorp you will:
Coordinate project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
Assist in preparing and submitting development applications, permits, and other regulatory documentation.
Liaise with external stakeholders, including municipal authorities, consultants, and contractors.
Monitor project milestones and provide regular updates to Development Managers.
Review and manage project documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations and company standards.
Perform research and data analysis work to support the Alberta Development Team's assessment of urban use and project planning.
Maintain database of municipal policy and planning materials (maps, policies, decisions) as well as an inventory of prospect sites for development.
Assist with maintaining a tracking database for structured bid opportunities (RFQs, RFPs, etc.).
Participate in the preparation of presentations for a range of audiences.
Support the preparation of financing materials for accessing the equity or debt capital markets, including offering memorandums, bank presentations, and loan documents.
Assist with the preparation of budget reviews, working with internal staff to process payments and prepare internal project reports.
Control and manage documentation, including the assembly, processing and verifying completeness for corporate partnerships, and development entities, land closings, and delivery team contracts.
Qualifications
Formal education in Urban Planning, Real Estate, Construction Management, or a related field.
1+ years of experience in a development or construction coordination role.
Strong organizational and project management skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to research and interpret municipal and provincial policies.
