The team at Bow Valley Dental located in Calgary, Alberta looking is for a passionate, hard-working Dental Administrator on a full-time. Bow Valley Dental is a downtown practice that is very close to the LRT line.

We are a small dental office with lot of fun to work and looking to add to our team someone that has dental experience, tracker experience would be an asset but not necessary.

Our Dental Administrator will be responsible for: welcoming patients, scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling billing and insurance claims.

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented dental Administrator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency of our operations, ensuring that all administrative tasks are handled smoothly and effectively. This position is essential for supporting our front desk operations and managing patient interactions in a dental office. The ideal candidate should be able to handle all administrative tasks independently.

Responsibilities

  • Manage front desk operations, including greeting patients in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Schedule appointments and maintain an organized calendar for the office.
  • Handle incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and manage phone systems efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate electronic dental records using the Tracker software system.
  • Process patient information, including insurance verification and billing inquiries.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence management.
  • Collaborate with the Office Manager and other staff to ensure seamless patient flow and communication.
  • Uphold confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations while handling sensitive patient information.

Skills

  • Proven experience in an administrative role within in a dental office is preferred.
  • Proficiency in electronic dental records particularly Tracker.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.
  • Familiarity with front desk operations and customer service best practices.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in using office equipment and phone systems.

SCHEDULE:

  • 38-40 hours per week
  • Day time hours,

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • At lest year of experience is required as a Dental Administrator/Administrative Assistant
  • Completion of a Dental Administration Program/Certificate
  • Experience with dental practice management software such as Tracker is considered an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients and families
  • Customer service mindset
