• Inspect and Patrol Premises: Conduct regular inspections and patrols of the property to ensure safety and security at all times.
• Monitor Property Entrance: Oversee and control access points to the premises, ensuring only authorized individuals and vehicles enter.
• Authorize Entrance of People and Vehicles: Verify identification and grant access to authorized personnel, visitors, or vehicles while denying entry to unauthorized individuals.
• Report Suspicious Behavior and Incidents: Identify and report any unusual or suspicious activities, behaviors, or incidents to the relevant authorities or security team.
• Secure All Exits, Doors, and Windows: Ensure that all exits, doors, and windows are properly secured and locked to prevent unauthorized access.
• Monitor Surveillance Cameras: Continuously observe live feed from surveillance cameras to detect any potential security breaches or irregularities.
• Respond to Alarms and Emergencies: Act swiftly and appropriately to respond to alarm signals or emergency situations, ensuring proper action is taken.
• Provide Assistance to Individuals in Need: Offer support and assistance to visitors, employees, or others requiring help while maintaining a safe environment.
• Submit Daily Surveillance Reports: Document and submit detailed reports of daily activities, including patrols, incidents, and any noteworthy observations.
• Submit Reports of Suspicious Activities: Immediately report any suspicious activities, security concerns, or breaches to the supervisor or management.
• Valid provincial security guard license
• Advanced telephone skills- engage with callers, handle routine inquires or requests
• Advanced computer skills- experience with data entry and documentation. Create and edit digital records
• Advanced interpersonal and proactive engagement skills with demonstrating active listening skills by fully focusing on other
• Ability to respond effectively to active threats or violent incidents with speed, precision and decisiveness
• Maintain awareness of surrounding and potential risks
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Criminal justice or police foundations diploma is an asset
• First aid and CPR certification is an asset
• Security guard experience is an asset
• Dispatch experience is an asset
• 1 year minimum of customer service experience
• Legally entitled to work in Canada
